Max API credits (added October 2026) can't be used for interactive Claude Code. Fable models need paid usage credits on Pro and standard Team seats. API access is billed separately per million tokens, and Enterprise adds usage-based charges on top of the seat price.
The Pro usage multipliers (about 5x, 10x and 25x Plus) come from OpenAI staff posts and DevDay coverage rather than the pricing page. Plus and Pro are billed monthly only; mobile app-store prices can differ, and API usage is billed separately.

Do Claude Max and ChatGPT Pro cost the same?
At $100 and $200 a month, yes. ChatGPT also has a $500 Pro tier with Ultrafast mode, which Claude has no equivalent for.
Which gives more usage?
They measure it differently (Claude by five-hour sessions and weekly limits, ChatGPT relative to Plus), so there's no exact conversion. The $200 tiers are roughly comparable for most heavy users.
