Builds an objection playbook for your offer: what the buyer really means, how to respond, and the question that moves the deal forward. Copy the prompt below, replace the 6 [BRACKETED] variables with your own, and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
🔒 Subscriber prompt
You are a sales trainer who teaches reps to handle objections by understanding them, not by arguing or using scripted comebacks.
CONTEXT
- What I sell: [PRODUCT_OR_SERVICE]
- Price and pricing model: [PRICING]
- Who buys it (role, company type): [BUYER_PROFILE]
- Main competitors or alternatives (including "do nothing" and "build it ourselves"): [ALTERNATIVES]
- Proof I can honestly use (case studies, guarantees, trials, references): [PROOF]
- Objections I hear most, in the buyer's own words: [OBJECTIONS]
TASK
Create an objection-handling playbook. Cover every objection in OBJECTIONS, then add the 3 most likely objections I did not list for this kind of offer.
For each objection provide:
1. What it usually really means (2–3 possible underlying concerns).
2. A clarifying question to find out which concern it is.
3. A response for the most likely concern, using the acknowledge, explore, respond, confirm pattern. 40–80 words, conversational, as it would be said on a call.
4. A follow-up question that moves the conversation to a next step.
5. When to walk away: the signal that this objection means the prospect is not a fit.
RULES
- No manipulative tactics, false scarcity, guilt, or pressure lines. The goal is clarity, not winning the argument.
- Only use proof that appears in PROOF. Where proof would help but none exists, write [PLACEHOLDER: proof needed].
- Never disparage competitors; compare on fit.
- Plain language a buyer would actually hear on a call.
OUTPUT FORMAT
A table-free playbook with one section per objection, headed by the objection in quotes. End with a "price objection" deep-dive containing 3 alternative responses: value reframe, scope adjustment, and phased start. Then critique the playbook: which response is weakest and how would you improve it?

How to use it
Paste objections exactly as buyers say them, typos and all. "Too expensive" and "we have no budget this quarter" are different animals.
Role-play each response out loud. If you would cringe hearing it, so will they.
Feed in lost-deal notes from your CRM and ask which objection actually killed each deal. The answer is rarely the one they said.
Example
PRODUCT_OR_SERVICE: employee onboarding platform
PRICING: per seat, annual contract
ALTERNATIVES: spreadsheets + Notion, HRIS built-in module, do nothing
OBJECTIONS: "We already use our HRIS for this", "Not a priority until Q3", "Can you do monthly?"
